This dataset includes Terms of Trade Indexes by Locality, with a base year of December 2017=100. The terms of trade indexes are calculated by dividing the export price index by the corresponding import price index and multiplying the result by 100. Industrialized Countries include Western Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Latin America includes Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Pacific Rim includes China, Japan, Australia, Brunei, Indonesia, Macao, Malaysia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, and the Asian Newly Industrialized Countries. Data may be revised within three months following its original publication by the BLS. This dataset corresponds to the information presented in Table 9 of the U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes.
