This dataset includes monthly volume of repurchase agreement transactions (REPORTOS), published by the Executive Secretariat of the Central American Monetary Council (SECMCA).The data is presented in USD millions and in local currency millions. These financial operations involve the purchase or sale of a financial asset, typically a government debt security, at a specified price. Simultaneously, there is an agreement for the future sale or purchase of the same asset at a predetermined price. This type of transaction is also known as "repos" in some countries.
